IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR A JACK-OF-ALL-TRADES, HANDS-ON WAREHOUSE MANAGER
California Waters is experiencing a strong growth increase in our business and is expanding our warehouse operations.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position has one full-time direct report presently.
You will be primarily responsible for managing the receiving and distribution of a variety of parts and supplies to and from our central warehouse location in Yorba Linda. Recent, direct working experience in a managerial capacity for a commercial construction, plumbing, electrical, or landscaping business is a big plus.
You will be responsible for receiving all deliveries, verifying against purchase orders for identification, quantity, and completeness, and then placing them into inventory or advising that they are ready. You will pick from our inventory needed parts, materials, equipment and supplies, and then help load our trucks daily, so they are ready for the next morning. You and your team will keep perfect counts of all SKU items and advise the Purchasing divison when it is time to reorder. You will supervise or perform daily cycle counts and other inventory assignments as requested by your Supervisor. Inventory needs to be properly entered into computer/databases. You will personally use small hand tools and operate material handling equipment such as standing forklifts and palletjacks; forklift certification required.
You will also provide support for the management of our tools, equipment, and vehicles.
You will ensure that the warehouses stay spotless and organized. You will supervise or perform all building/office maintenance and repairs. You will schedule and supervise pick-up and delivery runs daily by our full-time driver for parts from our vendors and back to the warehouse, and to our jobsites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have prior warehouse managerial experience.
- Fluent English Is Required: Speaking, Reading and Writing.
- Must Be Able to Use Microsoft Excel and Word, and Email.
- Have and maintain current valid California driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Able to lift 60 pounds above your head and able to bend low to the floor.
- Mechanical expertise and truck repair skills are a big plus.
